Partners in Junk

Today I would like to introduce to you my partners in junk. These two have taken to picking and rescuing junk and treasures from dumpsters and tree lawns like nobody’s business. They have been known to stop and load up pieces of furniture that are heavier than anyone should be lifting! We have a vision for our new adventure and couldn’t be happier to be taking this journey with them. Meet Janice and Doug Beckler…they are call themselves my beloved parents..hapy junking! Can’t Part with Baby Cribs

So after four babies I find it difficult to part with any of the baby related items. Inspired by a photo that I saw repurposing parts of baby cribs, I decided to put this mattress frame next to my computer as a message board.

I have grand plans of painting this an accent color for this room but for now the steel grey works just fine. So get into your attics and find those old baby crib parts, this literally took five minutes. No cribs? We may have one in stock, check out our inventory. Happy salvaging!

Pinterest Inspired Design

I love when I can hop on Pinterest and find inspiration for the using the awesome salvage items in our inventory. This photo comes from Midwest Living Magazine and shows a great pop of color in the white kitchen with some cute red stools.

We have these stools as a great option for your design. We have three of these measuring approximately 26″ tall. Depending on your counter height, they would be perfect!

The Early Days

City Salvage and Design was born out of the desire to bring new life to discarded objects. The early days of this concept consisted of finding treasures and using them as home decor. As we ran out of space to decorate in our own houses, we quickly came to the realization that we needed to bring these awesome items to like minded people with an eye for unique treasures. We hope that you will become clients and friends as you take this journey with us.
