About Our Architectural Salvage Warehouse

Schoolhouse Salvage (formerly City Salvage) was founded in 2012 by Amy and Ron Cseh.

Amy has been working in the building demolition field for 20 years consulting on environmental issues affecting demolition and renovation. Out of that experience grew a desire to rescue items that are being trashed with the building during demolition and diverting these items to source that can re-use the product.

As an avid DIY decorator, Amy has struggled to find local resources of unique furniture options and accessories for the home at an affordable price. Because he has no choice, husband Ron has also been forced to join this quest in searching for these items with his beloved wife.

Combining the desire to repurpose furniture/forgotten items and provide them a new life with a passion for decorating and accessorizing, City Salvage and Design was born. IN 2015 we re-branded to Schoolhouse Salvage.

Our inventory is constantly changing so check back often and leave us a note and tell us what you’re looking for and we’ll track it down!

New in 2014 includes our offerings of Vintage Farmhouse distressing chalk paints and Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint and supplies. We offer these paints for sale in both of our locations and off wholesale options for other retailers throughout Ohio.  We use these paints upcycle and repurpose items in the shop and hold monthly workshops to teach others.
